It presents an overview of Asian Canadian literature, discussing the most important Asian Canadian writers, beginning with the Eaton sisters, to Sky Lee, Denise Chong, Wayson Choy, and Joy Kogawa, and to the feminist and postmodern works of Hiromi Goto, Larissa Lai, and the historiographic novels of Madeleine Thien. Highlights of works by Asian Canadian poets and playwrights are presented at the end of the chapter.
