(p. xvii) Acknowledgments

In addition to the contributors to this volume, many individuals provided invaluable support. At the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, several students, including Matthew Farrell, Colin Gaiser, Eugenia Goh, Minsun Ji, Laura Roberts, Patrick Sutherland, Cecil Shapland and, in particular, Noelle Schaef and Michelle Woodruff, provided the editors with extensive research, editorial, and administrative assistance. The Earhart Foundation awarded a generous grant that allowed contributors to present their work at conferences and funded administrative support and honoraria. Emily Hinga of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies kept the books and managed to ensure that salaries and expenses were paid. Ilene Grabel provided consistent encouragement and advice, while Oxford University Press’s Joe Jackson, Scott Parris, Terry Vaughn, and Cathryn Vaulman shepherded the project expertly from its inception through to its completion. Finally, Preethi Sundar at Newgen Knowledge Works provided outstanding editorial and production services.

The editors note with sadness the passing of contributor Thomas Mayer as this book was in press. Tom was an extraordinary person and a wonderful economist who advocated ethical economic practice and, more importantly, modeled it in his own work. (p. xviii)
