Abstract and Keywords

Although it has been noted that the ways feminists historicize, explain, and define feminism are challenged and subject to interpretation, this article focuses on the idea that feminist debates show openness and plurality to further clarification, inquiry, and reflection. It studies the various ways of understanding feminism as well as its core features and methods of inquiry used by feminists. The article also discusses the modern debates among feminists and tries to identify some of the challenges and important contributions of feminist scholars to the study of politics.
