Abstract and Keywords

This chapter examines the evidence of Neo-Elamite occupation at Susa, particularly ceramics, metalwork, vitreous materials, glyptic, and sculpture. The historical sources detailing Assyria’s relationship with Elam are reviewed. The important rock reliefs at Kul-e Farah, Kurangun, and Naqsh-e Rustam are examined, as well as the excavated evidence from Tall-e Teimuran and Tal-e Malyan in Fars. The assemblages contained in two important burials, at Ram Hormuz and Arjan, are discussed.
