Ceramic, glyptic and other evidence from major excavations undertaken at Tepe Yahya, Tal-e Iblis, Bampur and Shahr-e Sokhta before 1979 is reviewed. Particular stress is placed upon recent Iranian excavations at Konar Sandal South and North and Mahtoutabad cemetery in the Jiroft region of southeastern Iran.
