Abstract and Keywords

This chapter summarizes the research on corporate governance and family business that covers both privately and publicly held companies. The first section includes an overview of the field of family business, and identifies its global popularity and economic importance. It then presents some key terms, including corporate governance and family business. The rest of the chapter answers nine research questions that help examine the important findings from the existing literature based on the consequences of governance and a range of antecedents.
