There are a number of individuals without whom this book would not have been possible. First and foremost are the wonderful group of scholars who have contributed its content. We truly appreciate the time and effort they put into crafting their chapters, as well as their tolerance and good humor in the face of our nattering and pestering them about style, length, and all manner of other issues across multiple rounds of revision. We would also like to thank Rupert Younger and the folks in the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation for providing the financial resources to put on a conference for our authors, and for helping organize the conference. It was a great event that helped immeasurably to improve the quality and increase the coherence of the Handbook. We of course would also like to thank the folks at Oxford University Press, particularly David Musson, Emma Lambert, and Rachel Platt, for publishing the book, and for their help, guidance, and expertise as we wended our way through our maiden voyage in the book publishing world. Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank our families—Mike's wife Lisa and his children Lauren and Jack, and Tim's wife Sarah—for their support throughout this process, and their tolerance with the substantial time and occasional absences that this book necessitated. Finally, Tim would like to thank his late dog Annie, the best companion a guy could ever have, who survived cancer long enough to see the full manuscript submitted to the publisher. I miss you.
