Abstract and Keywords
John Redford's Wit and Science is a play about education. Redford was a teacher. We cannot prove that he wrote the work for the boys he taught, but who else would he have written it for? It is very obviously intended for skilled musicians. This article discusses why the play of Wit and Science might have turned out the way it did.
