Abstract and Keywords

This chapter identifies ways that the relation between Robert Graves and Siegfried Sassoon may be reinterpreted, questioning the ‘integrity’ and the implications of imaginative appropriations and critical evaluations of the war poets. It rethinks the significance of Graves and Sassoon's contribution and revision of a genre of war poetry, and also studies the aesthetic differences and similarities between Graves and Sassoon.
