Abstract and Keywords
This article discusses the concept of critique, which is treated rightly as basic to the entire enterprise of policy analysis. Critical policy analysis is also discussed in this article, along with two of its opposites, namely accommodation and technocracy. The article determines that critical policy analysis is a demanding vocation, due to the number of obstacles that stand in its way. However, it is slowly being incorporated into an emerging network society of decentralized problem solving. In the democratic world, critical policy analysis has the capacity to help realize the idea of a policy science of democracy.
