This article reviews evidence for ritual and religion in Southeast Asia. It begins with a brief discussion of the first farmers. It then covers coastal hunter-gatherers at Khok Phanom Di, the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the early South-east Asian trading state, and the Kingdom of Angkor.
