Abstract and Keywords
This articleanalyses archaeological evidence on the history of Cyprus during the Late Bronze Age. This period was marked by number of significant social and economic changes. These include a massive increase in settlement, an increase in the complexity of hierarchical settlement pattern, and an increase in the number of urban centres. Copper trade was also developed during this period, and Cyprus’s involvement in maritime trade around the eastern basin of the Mediterranean increased.
