The names of ancient authors and their works are abbreviated in accordance with The Oxford Classical Dictionary, 4th ed., edited by E. Eidinow, S. Hornblower, and A. Spawforth, Oxford 2012. References to the speeches of the Corpus Demosthenicum are given without indication of the author, except where this would have created ambiguity. Quotations are taken from M. Dilts’ OCT (Oxford, 2002–9). Abbreviations of journals follow L’ Année Philologique. Other reference works and editions of corpora are abbreviated as follows:
