Abstract and Keywords

This article surveys existing research on parent training programs, which were formed in order to prevent disruptive behavior in children and avoid future delinquency. This article focuses on one of the most recent systematic reviews that study the effectiveness of these programs. It first explains the relevance of parent training programs for policy, and then summarizes previous research on parent training programs, especially home visitation programs and parental management programs. The final sections present the systematic review, its meta-analysis, and the implications of the results.
