This article explains how the globalization of filmmaking in the Middle East and in Latin America has unfolded over several decades. It discusses the economic and political foundations of the globalization of the filmmaking industry and studies globalization in Latin America and the Middle East. The article also studies the filmmaking industries in Mexico and Egypt, which have dominated their respective regions for many years.
