Abstract and Keywords
This article discusses the issue of procedural due process as it is understood globally in light of instruments such as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. It also evaluates the contribution of the international courts and agencies in promoting adversarial due process around the world. The focus throughout will be on due process in criminal proceedings.
