Abstract and Keywords

This article starts by putting the tradition of editing Donne’s poems into three distinct phases. It discusses various editions of Donne’s poetry that have been produced from the seventeenth century onwards. It explains the methods used, and the difficulties and challenges various editors have had in editing the poetry. It ends by mentioning some recent editions which it deems worthy of note.
