Daniel Reisberg

Daniel Reisberg is Professor of Psychology at Reed College, in Portland, Oregon. He has published extensively, with a focus on how people remember the emotional events of their lives, and also on the nature of mental imagery. In addition to his scholarly writing, he is the author of several successful textbooks, including Cognition: Exploring the Science of the Mind, published by W.W. Norton and now in its fifth edition. Reisberg has also been increasingly involved with the application of cognitive psychology to issues within the criminal justice system, and he has provided training sessions for police officers, attorneys, and judges, and sometimes appears in court as an expert witness, with the focus generally on how crime witnesses (or victims, or perpetrators) remember and report on a criminal event. Between projects, Reisberg is a devoted wilderness canoe paddler, and escapes when he can to the far north. (p. x)
