Abstract and Keywords

This chapter discusses the history and development of modern psychology in Thailand, both as a profession and as an academic subject. The challenges and opportunities for the profession, its relationship with other professions in the mental health fields, and the potential for contributions that Thai psychologists could make both within the field and in society in general are discussed.
